Virtual - Basic Security Guard Training (Quebec)
This virtual classroom - Basic security Guard training (Quebec) course, recognized by the Ministry of Public Security, will help you acquire the skills necessary to become a security guard in Quebec. Course Content and Duration
This virtual classroom training, recognized by the Ministry of Public Security, is a total of 54 hours. It is offered on various possible schedule. This training does not include the First Aid in the Workplace course.
Please note that it is strongly suggested to begin your security agent training process with the first aid training. In addition to your security guard training, the first aid training is mandatory to obtain your permit from the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP). You can register to this training here.
In Quebec, in accordance with the provisions of the decree on security guard, certain training programs lead to salary benefits for agents.
As part of our security guard certification program (54 hours and 70 hours), GardaWorld offers all its graduates an exclusive advantage: access to Customer Service training. This training entitles them to the P12 premium of $0.50 added to their hourly rate.
After receiving your successful completion certificate for the security guard course, the Customer Service training will be added to your profile. Once completed, this training will enable you to receive the P12 premium of $0.50 added to your hourly rate as a security guard.
If you are unable to travel to Montreal to attend the CNESST course, this 54-hour training is for you. Note however that first aid training in the workplace is a prerequisite to obtaining your security guard permit. Certification
Once you have completed the Virtual Classroom Basic Security Guard Training (Quebec) course successfully and a workplace first aid card is obtained, you can make a request to the BSP to get your security guard licence.
