First Aid Training Ontario

Instructed by an accredited team of experienced trainers, our First Aid Training Ontario course provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize the warning signs of a medical emergency and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). (English only).

Course Content and Duration

Any one can be a first aider. In a medical emergency, simple actions can have influence. This First Aid Training Ontario course was developed to help anyone react in a timely and appropriate manner in case of emergency. We offer emergency, standard, or basic life support (healthcare professional) training options for adults, children and infant CPR and AED.

Please note that these courses are only offered in English.

Emergency First Aid with CPR and AED Level A – basic one-day, 6.5-hour, classroom training session on emergency scene management for the single-person rescuer in adult CPR and AED.

Standard First Aid with CPR and AED Level C – comprehensive two-day, 16-hour, classroom training program that includes emergency first aid content plus multi-person rescuers, and children/infant choking, CPR and AED. 

Please note that a passing grade of 80% is required for successful completion in emergency or standard first aid.

Basic Life Support (BLS)– stand-alone 4-hour training or add-on option to Standard First Aid Level C for the healthcare professional (HCP) or trained first responder learning the fundamental skills of high-quality first aid needed to achieve the best possible patient outcomes in medical emergencies. Passing grade of 84% is required for successful completion.

Certifications:

Once training is complete, the successful participant will receive a 3-year physical or digital training certificate through a valid emergency- or standard-level first aid WSIB Ontario approved provider. Basic life support (BLS/HCP) certificates are valid for 1-year.
