Enhancing Access to Secondary Education
We believe deeply in the power of education as a vehicle for change. Since its inception, education has formed a core thematic area of our CSR Programme, and we have since developed a number of meaningful partnerships across our operating markets as we actualise this belief.
In 2022, GardaWorld officially launched the GardaWorld Scholarship Scheme in Hoima, Uganda.
Through partnership with Mc Dermott Uganda and Epsilon (Albertine Waste Management), we are currently fully funding 13 scholars through Senior 1 to Senior 4 at St. Andrea Kaahwa’s College in Uganda. This includes: 7 students in Senior 1 and 6 students in senior 2. The goal of the scheme is to deliver access to talented young people from Hoima and Buliisa districts, who would otherwise be unlikely to be able to complete secondary education
