Our officers play a critical role in working with healthcare teams to reduce and mitigate violence. They do that through their training and their understanding of the environments they're in.

At GardaWorld, we provide healthcare security services across a variety of institutions—whether it's a hospital or a clinic.

We're there not only to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff, but also to build relationships.

Of course, we focus on the safety and security of visitors, but we're also ambassadors for the hospital.

That means we need to provide customer service, be an empathetic presence, and help ensure people have a positive experience at the hospital.

Our officers are trained, first and foremost, to recognize and understand aggressive behavior and the emotions that are predominant in healthcare.

The way we can positively impact those situations is by being preemptive.

We know how to communicate effectively. We know emotional responses, de-escalation skills, and we collaborate closely with medical staff. When medical staff feel safe, they can focus on delivering care. When patients feel safe, they receive better care.

At the end of the day, everyone's got  that positive outcome.

Where we make our mark is in going beyond the basics of training.

We take the time to sit down with our officers and explain why we’re doing what we do.

When they have a deeper understanding of their role and the reasons behind our procedures, they’re empowered to make better decisions.
